The Martha's Vineyard Book Festival features authors not only of national acclaim, but local heroes as well. With a diversity of genres, the event brings together some of the country's leading authors and local talent for two days of readings, panel discussions, author interviews, and book signings. The weekend-long, family-friendly event is free to the public, but the kickoff event on Friday, "Whatever Happened to Post-Racial America," is not.
