Martha's Vineyard International Film Festival
Looking for a film festival in the northeast to escape to in September, the most beautiful time of the year to visit, then look no further as the natural wonder of Martha's Vineyard will be on display again at this year's Martha's Vineyard International Film Festival running from September 8th through the 11th. The MVIFF is about exploring other cultures/people of the world and is owned and operated by the Martha's Vineyard Film Society, a 501 c3 non-profit corporation. Featuring over 50 films from over 20 countries, including the International Jury Competition in which 10 films will be selected from worldwide entries and screened at 2011 MVIFF short film showcase. Jury members will select winning films for a cash prize and presentation at the Closing Night program on Sunday, September 11th. The festival is currently accepting submissions of short films with fiction, live action, animation, and documentary shorts all welcome.

Tivoli Day Festival
An annual celebration of summer’s end on Circuit Avenue featuring: live music, arts, crafts great food and family fun. Noon until 8 pm all along Circuit Ave which will be closed to traffic. Music is at the Third World Trading end of the street from thought the day.

Columbus Day 5K Road Race & Fun Run
Join us for the annual Columbus Day 5K Road Race and one mile Fun Run to benefit the Island Affordable Housing Fund. This is a T.A.C. certified race around East Chop with sweeping panoramic views! In addition to the 5K Road Race, the 1 mile Fun Run starts at 10:30 am. and a 5K Walk starts at 11 am. $15-pre-registration, 3-5 pm or $20 on day of race 9-10 am (register at the Wesley Hotel in Oak Bluffs.)

5th Annual Martha's Vineyard Food & Wine Festival

Oak Bluffs Holiday Tree Lighting
Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and a baked treat as the Vineyard Classic Brass Ensemble plays your favorite carols. Event is open to public and will be held at the passageway between Sharky's Cantina and The Locker on Circuit Ave after 6pm.
